2-Bike Folding Hitch Rack mounts to a 2" Class III/IV vehicle hitch receiver for transporting 1-2 bicycles. When desired, the adapter can be removed allowing the bike rack to work with 1.25" Class I/II receivers. Features a reinforced gusset connecting the 2" x 2" main support tube to the receiver tube, designed to balance the bicycle weight and prevent the rack from sagging downward. Each hitch bicycle rack includes a spring-loaded tilt lock and locking pins. These allow cradle to fold for storage, or the entire rack to tilt away from the vehicle rear hatch/tailgate access. Also includes 9" rubber tie-downs for securing bicycles with frames up to 1-5/8"D to the transport cradles and a 12 ft. safety tie-down strap. Heavy duty steel construction with a smooth black paint finish.

Usage Guidelines
Please note, hitch-mounted bike carriers are not recommended for use on tow-behind trailers including 5th wheel and camping trailers, motor-homes or RVs. Never exceed the maximum tongue rating of your trailer hitch and be aware that your hauling weight may be limited by your vehicle's suspension. Some vehicles may require air shocks or heavier springs to stiffen up the suspension and prevent sagging. Carriers are not recommended for hitches less than 12" from the ground to the bottom of the hitch without the use of a riser adaptor. The measurement from the end of the support brace to the center of the hitch pin hole is 2.5"; measure your hitch receiver to make sure this rack will fit your vehicle. It's highly recommended not to tilt the bike hitch rack while loaded.
